It can't get hung-up like a tether type switch can. It's VASTLY more adjustable than a fixed float switch and it's incredibly easy to adjust for the desired on and off water levels.
Before getting the CF7-05, our sump pump ran frequently day in & day out because of where our sump hole is relative to a wet retention pond across the street. We literally were wearing out a new sump on nearly a yearly basis. The wide variables of the settings on this switch have REALLY cut down on pumping activity while still keeping things dry in the basement.
