FM-RFM890 Furnace Blower
[FM-RFM890]
$127.44
by Ron Bozwell Date Added: Wednesday 17 February, 2010
I purchased this to repair my Lennox furnace. Before purchasing I called customer service to get some advice. They were extremely helpful. They encouraged me to purchase the blower wheel as well since the wheel is quite often rusted to the old motor shaft. I was able to successfully replace the motor myself and save a lot of money. All of the other parts houses online wanted to sell this as an entire assembly for about $250 with next day air prices at over $100. I did have to hacksaw the old motor shaft off to free the old blower wheel out of the old assembly (which customer service warned me about). I also had one mounting bolt that was rusted to the old assembly. Penetrating oil would not free the bolt and it did break off in the assembly. This bolt had to be drilled out on a drill press and retapped to a larger bolt size. I also recommend using an automotive RTV sealant to seal the assembly again. After about 3 hours of work my furnace was up and running again. I also found that their next day air shipping prices were about 40% lower than their competitors and they ship out the same day your order is placed. Many thanks to the helpful people at CSHinc.
